Who We Are

Synergy Entertainment, LLC is a full-service entertainment media firm in the Bay Area. We present the Collecting Prince podcast, and promote exhibitions of The Walton Collection, a vast collection of Black cultural artifacts and memorabilia spanning politics, music, television and film, literature, sports, and popular culture. Boasting one of the largest collections of music and artifacts of the artist Prince, the Walton Collection is curated by Brian M. Walton, Sr., an educator and former writer, editor, and newspaper/magazine publisher. In the Collecting the Culture series, Walton chronicles the tales behind many of the artifacts and how they came to the collection.

Brian Walton is a lifelong educator, having served as an instructor at the University of Maryland and later as an award-winning teacher and school administrator. Originally from the Washington, DC area, Walton served in the Prince George's County, Montgomery County, and DC Public Schools before relocating to the Bay Area, where he served as an instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. Brian is an active member and the historian for the San Jose Alumni Chapter (CA) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and the President/Chairman of the 100 Black Men of Silicon Valley, Inc. He resides in the Bay Area with his wife and son.
